I agree with you that it's definitely among your best work, and that makes it hard to critique. Since it's already pretty damn awesome! Especially if you compare it to the old version from 2011, that's some serious improvement right there.
I love the halftone texture, and the subdued palette that's so recognisable for your style . The brush work is really well done too.
If I had to give feedback on this, it would probably be that there's maybe a bit too much going on at once. I am a sucker for detail, don't get me wrong, but in this piece I sometimes find it a bit hard to find the focus because there's so much to see.
I think it'd be good to group important shapes together a bit more, either by dividing them by contrast or line weight, or with a bit of an outline perhaps.
Right now- especially if I look at it from a distance, both of the warriors and the rubble surrounding them, sorta blur together into one big segmented shape. I've been raving a lot about lack of depth in my critiques, but I think it's the case here too. For instance, the pillar of smoke behind the wall keeps drawing my attention, because it has a ton of detail and contrast - it feels closer to the camera/viewer, than it should be. The quickest way to fix it, I think, would be to decrease the intensity of the black in the lines from the background .
I also think the main focus point right now is the logo on the dude´s shoulder pad because of the extreme contrast, and I'm not sure if thats what you want. I think, if you shade that logo like you did the lion´s head behind it, the focus would be more on the guy´s face.
Finally, I'm not a huge fan of the 3 ships in the background. I find them a bit distracting, although the design is cool. This is really, me nitpicking though.
So, to sum it up (I've gone on a bit of a ramble), I love this image's style. Your technique is great, and clarity/readability is the only thing I can really comment on.
